I worked with Donna Thomas recently to plan a two week trip to New Zealand in June and I wanted to share my thoughts about my experience. I called Donna a month before I had planned to travel. Time had gotten past me as I prepared to head to NZ to travel with my son as he was ending his semester abroad at University of Otago in Dunedin. Donna could not have been more accommodating, helpful, patient and courteous. I gave her a few parameters, which were not easy to work with as my son was finishing his exams and we needed to go back and forth from Dunedin. I expressed general interest in things we liked to do, but I left the rest up to her. I shared some of the places my son had been and asked her to put together a comprehensive itinerary which would allow us to see the best of the South Island and a little of the North Island. We could not have been more pleased. Donna organized everything - airfare, excursion vouchers, hotel reservations, rental cars - everything. All we had to do was show up. My son and I were thrilled with everything!! The lodges where we stayed were perfect, as were our many hosts/hostesses. The excursions allowed us to see the best of the places we visited, and Donna arranged for the most amazing private tours ever. If I had planned the trip on my own for a year in advance, I am quite sure that I wouldn't have come close to planning such an incredible vacation. Donna is amazing - she truly knows New Zealand and it shows in her work!
